All line holding accessories are provided with a Lug for quickly attaching and detaching them to the Tetra Line Thrower by means of a “T” slot in the bottom of the Firing Chamber.
To attach an accessory, press the spring loaded Lock Plunger in, engage the lug with the “T” slot, slide the Lug in as far as it will go and release the plunger. The Lug should then be securely locked to the Tetra Line Thrower. To release, simply press the Lock Plunger in and slide the Lug out. |

These Lines are resistant to most chemicals including acids, alkalis and oils. They are also water and rot resistant and have a safe operating temperature of 248 degrees F (120 degrees C). They are especially wound to deploy freely and will not tangle or bunch even at the high initial velocities needed to achieve the longest distances of which the Tetra Line Thrower is capable. They should be stored out of direct sunlight. While oil or water will not harm the material, a roll soaked in either may not deploy correctly. | |
| Loading a roll of Line into a Canister is a simple process with the roll being used just as it is shipped with the clear plastic covering on it. This supports the roll until the full length is deployed. | |
 |
|
Prepare the roll by grasping the loose end of the Line which is inside the center of the roll and drawing it out about 12 inches or (30 cm approx.). The Canister Lid is held in place by two Toggle Latches. To remove it, snap open the latches by lifting the curved finger plates away from the canister sides. Swing the hooked wire loops away to the sides.
The Canister Lid is now held in place by spring clips and can be removed by hand.
Thread the loose end of the Line through the large opening at the rear of the Canister and out through the smaller hole at the front.
Slide the entire roll of Line into the Canister.
When the roll is fully in the Canister, replace the Canister Lid on the spring clips. Hook the wire loop over the top of the cap so that they seat in the groove around the edge. Swing the curved finger plates back down against the sides of the Canister until they snap into place. Pull a short length of Line through to make sure the Line is free to deploy and is not caught in the Canister. |
 |
Both the Canisters attach to the Tetra Line Thrower using the standard “T” slot on the bottom of the Firing Chamber. |

#1565 Float Kit
This tough, durable Float Kit is colored yellow for good visibility in a wide range of conditions. It may be painted with any non-solvent based paint (such as fluorescent safety orange) or have reflective tape attached to it for special uses. |
| The Float Kit is designed to fit any standard Safety Line Weight Spool without the need for tools. Its most obvious use is where water is involved, such as in flood, sea or river rescues but it also has a major application in suburban usage. |

Safety Line Weight Spool with Float
|
| Using the Float Kit where a Safety Line Weight may be damaged or the Safety Line Weight may cause damage (such as on tile roofs) are other examples of how the Float Kit is a valuable accessory. |

| IMPORTANT NOTE: |
When fitting a Float Kit make sure the Recoil Collar is towards the back of the weight as shown.
| |
The method of fitting the Float Kit is simple. Unscrew the Retaining Nut and Buffer from the front of the Weight and remove the outer cover.
Replace the outer cover with the special collared Float Kit.
If the Safety Line Weight Spool is fitted with the Nylon Trace, make sure that the knots are fully concealed in the groove at the rear of the Safety Line Weight Spool so that the cover does not pinch them. Refit the Retaining Nut and Buffer and tighten by hand. Firmly tap the rear end of the Safety Line Weight Spool on a solid surface, such as a piece of wood to seat the assembly.
Retighten the Retaining Nut and the Float Assembly is ready for use.
The Float Assembly will seat down during the first few firings, Check the Retaining Nut after each firing and retighten as necessary. |
